1. Introduction

Discovery Canvas AI ("we", "us") provides an AI-assisted product discovery tool. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

2. Data we collect

Account data — name, email, and profile picture (from Google Sign-In).
Project data — the ideas, notes, uploads, and AI outputs you create.
Usage data — pages visited, features used, and anonymised AI cost telemetry.
Billing data — for paying customers, a subscription ID and status from our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy). We do not store card details.

3. How we use your data

To operate the service, including saving your projects and AI outputs.
To process payments (via Lemon Squeezy) and manage your subscription.
To improve product quality, debug issues, and prevent abuse.
To send service-related emails (e.g. payment receipts).

4. AI processing

Prompts you write and uploaded files are sent to our LLM provider (Anthropic Claude) to generate responses. We do not use your content to train any model. AI outputs are AI-generated and may be inaccurate — always validate critical assumptions independently.

5. Sub-processors

We rely on the following providers: Anthropic (LLM), MongoDB Atlas(database), Lemon Squeezy (payments), PostHog (product analytics), Google (sign-in), and our hosting infrastructure.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

You can export your full data and delete your account at any time from the in-app Settingspage. Deletion is permanent and cancels any active Pro subscription.

7. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. On deletion, we purge projects, AI usage logs, sessions, and your user record from our database. Anonymised aggregate metrics may be retained.
